The Digital Services and Development (DSD) unit explores the use of multimedia and network technology to promote preservation of the Library's unique collections and to provide widespread access to those collections. It was originally established in 1994 with the mission of providing digital access to the University of Illinois Library´s collections. This digital access served to complement other online research resources we have licensed from publishers and other vendors outside of the University of Illinois.
