Reconnecting Access Table Columns
(with FGDC Metadata Standard sections)
As part of the Imagebase project, each photo scan, and each set of photos scanned, was indexed.
The standard employed for constructing the indexing metadata was derived from the FGDC (Federal
Geographic Data Committee), Content Standards for Digital Geospatial Metadata, June 8, 1994
edition. Below are listed the metadata elements that were selected for this project. These metadata
elements have been crosswalked to the applicable section of the FGDC metadata standard. The overall
set records for the pilot portion of the collection will be crosswalked to the MARC format for inclusion
in the University of Illinois Library's online catalog, ILLINET Online.
