"A Byte of History: Computing at the University of Illinois"

As part of the Cyberfest '97 celebrations at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, the University Archives prepared an exhibit of original documents and photographs illustrating the development of computing at the University of Illinois from the 1890s to the present. "A Byte of History: Computing at the University of Illinois" highlights the engineering components, development of digital computers, computer science, and the impact of computing on the University. We are pleased to re-create a portion of this exhibit as part of the Champaign Cultural Memory project.
