Database Integration: For this project each
student will search the TDC database
for pictures of WW II, photographs, posters, etc. Students will use
the documents to support writing two magazine articles.

| STATE GOAL 16: Understand events, trends, individuals and movements shaping the history of Illinois, the United States and other nations. | The students will be given three school weeks to complete a magazine about WW II. The magazine articles will be a minimum of 500 and maximum 1000 words. One of the articles will be a feature article on WW II. The other can be about any topic of interest to the student. Also contained in the magazine will be two propaganda messages either borrowed or original. The students will create a cover for a magazine titled "Journal of WW II". At the culmination of the project all the articles will be placed together and bound. A cover will be chosen for all of the articles. The magazine will then be bound, cataloged, and placed in the library for future use. |
